Today saw the return of the “Dead Rags” to B.R.A.S.S.! I believe it was extremely helpful and avoided many unnecessary “dead man” shootings! It was great to see the Roughneck Squad down again! These guys are gonna be a major asset to B.R.A.S.S.!!!!

General and I had the priveledge of joining the roughnecks for this game (to even out the squads) and it was a good expierience. They didn’t let his age affect how they treated him and respected him as a true member of the squad and not dead weight.
General pulled his own spotting tangos and making at least one kill ( just don’t tell Bishop it was him.

Squad, Dead Weight, General, Tango, kills. Is this the guy that had to look up the term “high cap” two years ago?

It was a pleasure having hammerhead and general. They feel right into place. Understood what we wanted to do. Gave feedback…and played as agressive as we do. No complaints here. It is always eaiser when these things come into place. General did perfectly even on the scouting mission. Dead weight never came into play or thought. He was as eager as the rest of us to get a kill. He is a rifleman.

Good scenerio by SA, and thanks to the roughneck’s for coming down to play. We (raptor) overthought ourselves and it got the better of us. (although looking back it would be hard not to make the same assumptions—learn and move on i guess)
Hammerhead and general did a great job from everything that i saw….even though hammerhead killed me. (insert sarcastic grin smiley here)
What’s funny is we (raptor) immediately thought we knew where the base would be (and where is actually was) We made our way into the area 1st—but after exchanging fire with the enemy we though (just bad comunication with the roughnecks on our end) that the roughnecks were going to sweep the rest of the area and we would sweep down to the damn. We never asked if they did so for the rest of the scenerio (we just assumed which won’t happen again) Becuase of this we got frustrated when we had covered (or thought we had) every bit of land (which is a lot) and that’s when all the “mabey the locals got turned” thoughts took over—we went to check out their basecamp and you know the rest.
What i took away from this (besides a fun day) was to doublecheck everything—a little communication error on our end ended up with us not completing the objective and friendly fire. Good fun and hopfully the roughnecks can come down more often (or us go there)!

All in all, great scenario, just need some better communication and maybe a little less overthinking by us (Raptor). Definitely was great playing with the Roughnecks. Let’s do it again.

The best I can remember this is the scenario each side was given. Prior to separating the groups everyone knew where the respawn point was and that two team members had to be at the respawn point before you could respawn. If you see a third person on your team you can wait and respawn all three people. This game will run for 2 hours.
AMERICANS WERE TOLD:
You are to recover a stinger missile launch device that was recovered from a downed C130 by the local terrorists. A local tribe which has received logistical, munitions, arms, and food supplies via airdrop by the americans has a base camp near the pond. The air drops for this american friendly tribe is the center of the pond. This tribe has been fighting the terrorists.
LOCAL AMERICAN FRIENDLY TRIBE WAS TOLD:
You have been receiving support by the Americans via airdrops. This is for your support of the American Global War on Terrorism. The local terrorists have killed friends, family, brothers, sisters, and children. You goal is to remove the terrorists. Remember, you are American friendly although you rarely see Americans. At this point this team was given a blue tarp and told to setup anywhere on this side and within site of the 2.2 acre pond.
TERRORIST/BAD GUYS WERE TOLD:
Shoot everyone. You have been fighting the local tribe to establish your own state. Remove them. Take this blue tarp and setup in this area.
That is about it. Remember, this area is only 25 acres in size. For some folks that sounds like a large area. For others it is small. The roles will be reversed soon and I suppose I’ll find out how large or small this place is.

hmmmm…think you have something wrong there, Hammerhead…I was shot out once by Stealth, and the 2nd time by one of the guys from the Roughnecks…those were the only two times I was killed…but hey, I can focus on targeting General from now on…
oh, and I’ve got a scenario I’m working on for the next time I can get out (looks like the next game after this weekend)…this one should be interesting.

Bishop think about who was there and who came walking up the path shortly after chemdog…

I don’t think there was anything wrong with the scenario or the intel. I was under the impression there were 2 bases and once we linked up with the Roughnecks, we continued the sweep. We missed an area (Raptor) because we thought Roughnecks had swept it, then upon not finding the terrorist base, it was told to us that we were going to explore the possibility (shoot at) that the Roughnecks had turned against us. That all went to heck and we got lit up as that was not the case. All in all, if we had done a better sweep of the land, we would have found the other base and achieved the objective, hopefully.

Chemdog is right we did sweep the aera he is talking about. However, it is my fault I thought we had sweep the area as far as we could go. I had two of my guys sweeping from the right. I should have known they needed to sweep further down. I know now where to sweep. David has given me the map. I have studied it and see where we did not sweep. This will not happen again. Sorry guys.
