Today’s games were held at the LU field. Present were Itsahak, Sgt. T, Hijaker, and B.R.A.S.S.’s newest official member, Berkelsk. Both Sgt. T and Hijaker were testing out their new weapons, a CA M15A4 (upgraded by the Evil Genius at ACQB), and the UTG M14 respectively. It can be said that both replica’s fared very well!
The first game started with ‘Hak and Sgt. T pairing off against Hijaker and Berk. Medic Cards were used, with each player taking two. ‘Hak and Sgt T decided to follow the main roadway in and after several minutes of stealthy movement, ‘Hak spotted Berk behind a tree. (Flipping boonies have got to go! They give you away every time!) Sgt T was on the opposite side of the wood line clearing a brush pile when he received the radio call. As ‘Hak could hear the other member of the OpFor making his way toward their left flank, Sgt T crossed back over the road, finding a small path with wich to flank Berk and Hijaker. ‘Hak engaged first Hijaker and then Berk. After a short intense bb fest, ‘Hak was able to hit Hijaker. Sgt T. walked up on Berks flank while the latter was engaged with ‘Hak and took him out. Sgt T and ‘Hak retreated down the roadway then cut in to the woods. Shortly, Sgt T spotted Hijaker moving their way. Sgt T and ‘Hak coordinated a combined attack and were able to hit Hijaker. Sgt. T signed that Berk was off to the left. ‘Hak pulled an SAS style “Bait” move and ended up running right into Berk’s position! Berk took a shot at ‘Hak, but with his full face mask, was shooting from the shoulder and not using the sights. As a result he missed. ‘Hak snapped off a quick burst to drive Berk under cover, and actually hit him. As ‘Hak ,looking for a new ambush point, ran past Sgt T he had some rather nasty words for him. Sgt T laughed. Sgt T and ‘Hak took up position behind two different dirt mounds just inside the parking area with one able to cover the high path and one the lower. Soon, Sgt T radioed that he had noise on the high side. ‘Hak moved over to reinforce and ended up engaging Hijaker and Berk again. They retreated back toward the center of the field with ‘Hak in pursuit. ‘Hak pushed them into the waiting Sgt T, who eliminated Berk from the game. ‘Hak went in a frenzy toward Hijaker only to be hit with no idea where Hijaker had shot him from. Sgt. T kept a vigil in the valley until ‘Hak respawned, then they moved out to sweep the area. Sgt. T spotted Hijaker behind a tree and engaged him. ‘Hak moved to the left flank, and was able to spot and fire upon Hijakers position, eliminating him for the win.
In the second game, Sgt. T and Hijaker faced off against ‘Hak and Berk. ‘Hak and Berk sprinted up the rear path to the ridge top, sure that Sgt T and Hijaker would go to the high ground. Just as they were catching their breath (’Hak was really hurting from his advanced age and decrepit physical condition) they saw their deadly foes coming up. ‘Hak took aim and fired at Sgt. T, missing by a country mile. Attempting to make use of the crowned terrain, Berk was in the process of fading back when a lobbed shot caught him. ‘Hak, after a hasty mag change, got a very pretty sight picture on Hijaker. Taking aim he squeezed the trigger, hearing the gear box roll, but not seeing any bb’s fly. Shocked he ejected the mag, only to realize that he had placed it in backwards!!! Now with Hijaker coming up on his flank and Sgt. T on his front, ‘Hak ran like a girl!! He took refuge behind a large, downed tree hoping for a minutes respite. Sgt T had other plans. Spotting ‘Hak, Sgt T pinned him down behind the tree with suppressive fire. ‘Hak was returning as much as possible when he spotted Hijaker on his flank. Fortunatly, Hijaker had yet to see ‘Hak. ‘Hak took him out with a burst. ‘Hak jumped up to engage Sgt. T only to see him raising his weapon. As ‘Hak dropped behind the tree again, he shot off a burst at Sgt T hoping to affect T’s aim. To everyone’s surprise one round scored. At this time, Berk was back up and he and ‘Hak ran down the hill. They waited on a path about 30 feet apart. ‘Hak saw Sgt T silhouetted on the ridge and engaged him, hitting him with the second burst. Together, Berk and ‘Hak attempted to take out Hijaker but were unable to get a clear angle. ‘Hak noticed Sgt T coming back from respawn and decided they should clear out, as the OpFor had the high ground. Berk and ‘Hak moved down to a path area and attempted to scoot around and flank Sgt T and Hijaker. However they could hear the pair moving in on them and took up defensive positions. Berk radioed that he had spotted Hijaker, but he was out of his range. ‘Hak saw Hijaker walking through the upper area, when Hijaker started firing. However, Hijaker was firing off to ‘Haks left side. ‘Hak and Berk could hear Sgt T in that area as well. Hijaker finally walked into a good field of fire and ‘Hak took his shot, sending him back for a second respawn time. After a few minutes of not seeing or hearing Sgt T, and with Hijaker returning from his respawn and engaging the pair, ‘Hak sent Berk down the path only to hear him call “Hit” two seconds later. ‘Hak decided to cross the path and go down hill, however was shot out by Sgt T in his crossing. After they respawned, ‘Hak and Berk ran willy nilly straight down the hill until they came on a bulldozed path. They followed it back up to the main road where they found Sgt. T and Hijaker on the main road, looking up towards the ridge line woods. Sneaking up the road, ‘Hak engaged, missing both targets. ‘Hak had visual on one target, while he could hear the other crashing through the woods behind the brush pile. Berk moved to intercept that player. ‘Hak crossed back over the road, rounding a brush pile and had to hit the dirt as bb’s began to burn through it! He low crawled about 20 feet up the path. Throwing a large stick back into the brush pile, ‘Hak continued to crawl up the path. BB’s continued to pound the brush pile, letting ‘Hak know his ruse had worked. Soon he spotted his quarry slipping through the woods ahead of him. ‘Hak took aim and was able to eliminate Sgt T from the game. ‘Hak moved in to try and take out Hijaker from the six, but Berk beat him to it, eliminating Hijaker.
All in all, a good day of airsoft fun!!
